Profile Settings

Your Profile is the part of Settings where you manage your personal account details: your display name, your email address, and a couple of read-only facts about your account. It’s separate from any budget you’re a member of; changes here follow you across every budget you access.

What’s on the Profile Page

Full name: the display name shown throughout Moniqo. Editable.
Email address: the address associated with your account. Editable.
Username: shown for reference but can’t be changed once your account is created.
Member since: the date your account was created.
Last login: the date you last signed in.
Profile photo: you can choose an image to preview here, but see the note below before relying on it.

Steps

Open Settings and go to the Profile section.
Select Edit to make the Full name and Email address fields editable.
Update your full name, your email address, or both.
Select Save.

While saving, the Save button shows “Saving…” and is temporarily disabled. If something goes wrong (for example, an invalid email format), an error message appears next to the button and your changes aren’t applied until you correct it and try again.

Notes

Email changes take effect immediately. Moniqo does not send a re-verification email when you change your address from Profile, so double-check it before saving.
Your username can’t be changed. It’s set when your account is created and stays fixed for the life of the account.
Profile photos aren’t saved yet. Choosing a photo only previews it in your current session; it isn’t uploaded or stored, and it reverts to your initials avatar the next time you load the page.
Password changes and account deletion aren’t available from Settings yet. If you need to change your password or close your account, contact support and the team can help directly until these are built into the Settings page.

Tips & Best Practices

Use a full name you’ll recognize at a glance; it’s what shows up anywhere Moniqo displays your identity, such as on a shared budget with multiple members.
Since email changes apply immediately with no confirmation step, take an extra second to check for typos before selecting Save.
Don’t rely on the profile photo preview for anything important right now; treat it as a look-and-feel preview only, not a saved setting.
